We’ve seen a number of celebs make the transition to reality TV lately including of course Sophie Monk and Nick Cummins, but what would you make of seeing the sister of convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby, Mercedes Corby starring in Married At First Sight?
According to Woman’s Day, Mercedes may be appearing on the hit show next year.
The mum-of-three split from her Indonesian husband Wayan Widyartha back in 2014, before sister Schapelle was freed from Bali’s infamous Kerobokan Prison.
A friend of Mercedes reportedly revealed: ‘Production is currently underway so if she has been cast then she’s keeping it very hush-hush.’
It’s believed that while she has not yet signed on officially, Mercedes has already passed the audition process.
Mercedes, 44, split from her husband Wayan Widyartha, who she met in Bali in 2014 after the pair had three children together – sons Wayan, 19, and Nyoman, 11, and daughter Nyeleigh, 17.
Mercedes moved back to the Gold Coast in 2016, where she opened a tapas restaurant.
Schapelle served nine years behind bars after being found guilty in 2005 of smuggling marijuana hidden inside a boogie bag into Bali.
