After counting every last sale, download and stream, the gang over at the Australian Recording Industry Association have compiled the official End Of The Decade charts.

Unsurprisingly, Ed Sheeran absolutely dominated, ARIA declaring him International Artist of the Decade with three appearances – including top spot – in the Top 10 End Of Decade Singles Chart.

His 2017 smash ‘Shape Of You’ took out #1, while ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and ‘Perfect’ placed sixth and eighth respectively.

It doesn’t end there for Sheeran, he rounded-off the decade with three albums in the Top 10 ARIA End Of Decade Albums Chart with x (#4), ÷ (#5) and + (#9).

Surprisingly, ARIA’s Australian Artist of the Decade was… Gotye.

‘Memba him?

The 14 x platinum success of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ powered him to lead End Of Decade Australian Singles Chart.

With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, Adele took out Album Of The Decade for 21.

The Australian Album Of The Decade went to INXS for The Very Best of INXS.

“We left Perth as tenacious young men looking to play our music to the world, and we did so with passion, honour, and pride for our country and families.” INXS said of the announcement.

“Being the biggest selling Australian artist of the last decade is overwhelming, and we are truly humbled, thank you. Our hearts go out to all Australians who rallied around us this last decade, and our hope and prayers are with all Australians presently caught up in these raging and horrific fires.”
