Natalie Joyce has stayed silent on her estranged husband’s very public affair – even after he went on TV with his new partner and their newborn baby to “tell all” about their relationship.
But not anymore.
In an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly, Natalie Joyce says she decided to speak up in honour of her four daughters – Bridgette, 21, Julia, 20, Caroline, 18, and Odette, 15.
“I’m normally a very private person but I knew I had to find my voice. They thought I would lie down, but this time I couldn’t,” she told the AWW.
“I’m doing this so the girls feel empowered, and know their mum stood up and defended our fine name.”
The former Second Lady was not paid for the interview in the Weekly‘s July issue, which celebrates rural Australia.
But she wasn’t shocked at Barnaby’s much-hyped $150,000 TV interview with new partner Vikki Campion.
“I wasn’t surprised she sold their ‘exclusive’ story, and certainly not surprised the $150,000 went to her child, but it begs the question, if Barney agreed to be a part of it, how could he allow his four girls to be overlooked? In saying that, I wouldn’t want a cent of that money. It was all we could do to watch it without throwing a brick at the TV!” Natalie told the magazine.

It’s still the country life for Dame Quentin Bryce! The former Governor-General and national treasure invited our team this month to take a trip down memory lane to the town of Winton – where her parents met – so we could chat to the locals who are proud to call rural Australia home. #Julyissue #onsaletomorrow #CelebratingRuralAustralia
