Royal Show Tips:
Make sure the kids have your phone number – Benjamin
Sit in the grandstands with kids to eat lunch and get away from it for a while – Ally
For the family, must see/do is ending the night with fireworks and best tip (if you have kids) – do the kids rides after 7, there are no line-ups (I’m assuming because most families with young kids go during the day, so they’ve gone home by then). – Third Umpire Steve
Avoiding the madness – Get there when it opens on a Sunday and be out by lunchtime! – Soph
Arrive first thing in the morning – Ally
I avoid the madness by steering clear of the show rides and sideshow alley – Monique
Take the kids to the Dog Pavilion for a break. Grab a drink in relative peace, watch some dogs in action and maybe meet a greyhound. – Wade
Leave after lunch, get a pass out- chill at home and eat dinner at home too and come back for fireworks – Ally
Get mum to collect discarded drink cans throughout the day. She only needs to collect 40 or 50 cans and that’s an extra Bertie Beetle
Take your own food. Oh and leave the kids at home hehe – Debbie
Wear comfortable shoes – Debbie
There is actually a lot of free stuff to do at the show. Just have to be organised and check out the show guide/website beforehand. We take our own food and drinks and try and get our tickets the cheapest way possible (RAA have a cheap family pass for members). – Alana
