Wouldn’t you know it? Those vampires are rising up from the dead!

Or is that supposed to be zombies that we’re thinking of…not sure.

Either way, the vampires are coming out of their coffins for an entirely new season of HBO series True Blood.

It’s unclear as yet whether any of the original cast members will be coming back, but we do know that the show’s creator Alan Ball is on board as an executive producer.

The original series ran from 2008 to 2014 and follows the telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (played by Anna Paquin) and her relationship with vampire boyfriend Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer).

There were also shapeshifters for some reason…

And despite how bad that might sound, it was actually a really good show, for the first five seasons, at least.


It’s still unclear when the reboot will be hitting our screens or where you might be able to watch in Australia.
