Remember Nathan Cavaleri? He was the child guitar prodigy that became a mainstay on Hey Hey It’s Saturday throughout the ’90s.

Nathan shot from obscurity to fame relatively overnight after being diagnosed with leukaemia at age six and taking up guitar to take his mind off everything happening in his life.

By the age of nine he was playing alongside Mark Knopfler, before touring with B.B. King at the age of 13.

But Nathan’s life since has not been all smooth-sailing.

The now 38-year-old began noticing that his gigs were being preceded by panic attacks, and he was suffering with insomnia, anxiety and depression.

He’s now getting back on stage and playing music again.

Jodie and Soda caught up with Cavaleri to chat about how he’s doing now, and what life was like as a child prodigy:
