Mix102.3 breakfast hosts Jodie and Soda have just made the call to tell Susan lange she is South Australia’s newest multi-millionaire.

Susan had just got out the shower and was wrapped in a towel when she answered their call.

After Soda teased her with the possibility that she might have won a new car, Jodie dropped the bombshell that she in fact had won the Hospital Research Home Lottery Grand Prize of a stunning, fully furnished Scott Salisbury home in Glenelg North and $1 million cash.

The emotion was unmistakable.

She could hardly get a word out.

“Really? Oh my goodness, I don’t know what to say,” she said through tears.

“I’m just speechless.

“I can’t believe it. That’s wonderful.

“We work really hard, we’ve got our own business and we just work all the time.

“Tony, we won the house,” she said to her husband.

Incredibly, today is Tony’s birthday. The first thing he thought of was that Susan had recently had galahs poo on her from the power lines above and he told us that they had both decided it meant something lucky was going to happen soon.

They were definitely right about that.

“We dream of things like this, it never happens to us,” Tony said.

Tony then told us all about how hard Susan had worked on their small business over the last 27 years.

“We started from scratch 27 years ago when we lost everything and she’s worked so very, very hard for those last 27 years,” he said.

“We have four beautiful kids and they’re all coming for steak night tonight. We have steak night Tuesday nights but today’s my birthday so they’re coming tonight instead.

“But we’re going surf and turf tonight now!”

Jodie and Soda have already visited Susan’s new home… watch as Jodie takes a tour of the incredible brand new home on Stanley St.

If you were counting on that call being for you, there’s still a chance you’ll have won one of the other 22,142 prizes available.

There’s a range of luxury cars including a 2019 BMW X3 30i, a 2019 Lexus UX200 and a 2019 Audi A3.

Exotic holidays are also going to be given away including five nights in the Maldives, six nights in Japan, 19 nights in Croatia and Venice, and seven nights in the USA.

Earlier this year, Jodie and Soda called Kym from Prospect to tell him he had won a fully furnished Scott Salisbury home on The Esplanade at Brighton AND $1M cash.

Don’t forget, the Hospital Research Home Lottery supports a very important cause. Because of their lottery ticket buyers, they’re able to fund vital research and patient care initiatives in South Australian hospitals. It helps save lives, right here in South Australia.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and congratulations Susan and Tony.
