We hate to admit it, but when it comes to a few things in life, size does matter.

Yep, we’re talking about jigsaw puzzles. They’re just more impressive when they’re bigger. Sorry guys…and girls.

So when our Friend Of The Show, Irene, shared the massive photo of her husband’s completed jigsaw puzzle of the Manhattan skyline our jaws dropped.

The whole thing is 32,000 pieces and takes pride of place on John and Irene’s wall.

Listen to Irene talk about the giant jigsaw here:

“It’s all my husband’s work, unfortunately, I don’t have the patience for that,” Irene told Jodie and Soda this morning.

The whole thing took 18 months to complete and was the largest one that Irene’s husband could buy at the time.

“Originally when bought that jigsaw puzzle, because he’s done a few 12,000, 18,000 which we have all over the house on the walls where they’ll fit. And of course, he bought that one and he said: ‘that’s for my retirement.’ But of course, he couldn’t wait, he opened the box and he decided to do it.”

At around 5.5m wide and 1.9m high, it’s a whopper. And it’s fair to say that it’s more impressive than Soda’s 300 piece puzzle featuring a few cats around a fish bowl.
