Regardless if it’s ice-cream or gelato (which we all know is the more superior frozen treat anyway), there’s a new Gelateria and Patisserie on the Parade in Norwood.
Opening on Friday 15 January, CONO Gelateria e Pasticceria boasts a generous 60-seat venue with a traditional Italian experience. With family recipes passed down from generations of Gelato making, you know this is going to be life-changing.
Created by Vincenzo Spatola and business partners Jimmy Tran and Linh Dang, Spatola explained to Glam Adelaide that CONO will be offering an innovative experience as “we’re bringing the gelato machine in front of you.”
I mean gelato is already amazing, but freshly handcrafted, right in front of you, using fresh ingredients from SA…we’re talking next level gelato here.
Spatola says “my recipe is based on my father’s recipe and uses fresh ingredients from SA.” Spatola’s family derives from the Abruzzo region of Italy, a region known for it’s incredible cuisine. And with 42 years in the Gelato business, you know you’re in good hands.
Spatola explains that he creates his Gelato using the variegato technique, a mixing technique that adds texture and marble effect to the Italian delicacy.
CONO Gelateria e Pasticceria will be having their grand opening on Friday 15 January at 254A The Parade, Norwood, from 4:00pm to 11:00pm. They are also offering a special gift with the purchase of your gelato.
