The state’s hotel quarantine rules are now being reviewed following a number of cluster cases being linked back to Victorian travel.

A cleaner at the Walkers Arms hotel in Walkerville has been revealed as the fourth patient in an inner northern suburbs cluster.

South Australia’s health authorities have issued a warning for a number of businesses in the northern suburbs as it acts to contain any further spread of the virus in SA.

The state’s chief public health officer Dr Nicola Spurrier has said that hotel quarantine rules are now under review.

The ongoing situation over the border could mean that any returning traveller from Victoria could be forced into a “medi-hotel.”

So far, there has been a total of 457 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Australia, with 8 cases currently active across the state.

A previous case that had health authorities scratching their heads when trying to trace back the virus has since been revised as a false positive.
