Global fashion and homewares store TK Maxx has been approved to take over the Pasadena Target store.

Mitch Council has approved the plans for a $460,000 fit-out of the store on Fiveash Drive.

There are more than 500 TK Maxx stores across seven countries but this would be the first in South Australia.

On the chains website, they said they offer  “great value on ever-changing selections of brand name, designer, and other high-quality fashion apparel and homewares for a whole lot less than a department store or on the high street”.

The Target Pasadena store was announced last week to be closing on Saturday, May 30.

All staff are being redeployed to nearby stores.
