Adelaide has bucked the trend in property values over 2020, with prices on home values growing faster than all four other major Aussie capitals.
Home values for Adelaide rose 5.9 per cent over 2020, a bigger rise than Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Meanwhile, Melbourne home prices saw a decline by 1.3 per cent, with long-lasting lockdowns in the city blamed for the downturn.
Hobart, Canberra and Darwin all saw bigger rises in housing prices, with the latter seeing a 9 per cent increase across the year, however the northern city remains the cheapest capital in which to buy real estate.
