This week Australia plunged itself into levels of debt that could only be described as eye-watering.

The Federal Budget this week saw the country set to take out loans that are tipped to top one trillion dollars by mid-next year.

That’s around $40,000 for every Aussie resident, so thanks for that, Scomo!

But there is one question that nobody seems to ask about this debt: Who the heck do we owe this money to?
