While we’re really not that far into the new self-isolation measures in Australia, many Americans are a bit further down that track…and it seems like the isolation is starting to take its toll on some.

One thing we have been enjoying is seeing the ways in which families are dealing with the inevitable boredom that comes with being locked in your house indefinitely.

And with Disneyland closed, one family has decided to recreate one of the park’s most famous rides in the middle of their lounge room.

The Thornocks staged their own version of Pirates of the Caribbean, complete with ukulele player, sword fights and questionable-looking animatronics (played by family members).

The family posted a highlights video to YouTube, covering off the best bits…including a trip down the stairs on a sled (and our bum is hurting just watching it, to be honest).

It might not be quite at the level of the Disneyland original, but with theme parks closed and many of us spending a LOT of time at home, we are all for this level of creativity!
