Tonight, December 2nd there will be a ‘Phoenicid Meteor Shower’ scattering through the skies.

A Phoenicid Meteor Shower are considered minor showers, they appear annually between 29th Nov-9th December and are best viewed from the Southern Hemisphere.

The shower will be visible to most Australians and while it’s not as hectic as a Geminid shower, if the sky is clear enough we’ll see some shooting stars every hour!

It looks like clouds will clear off before tonight here in Adelaide, so you should be able to see the 40+ meteors per hour from around 10:45pm through until the early hours of the morning.

*hint hint* This would be the PERFECT date night under the stars with some champagne… if anyone’s free…

I’m lonely.
