New Zealand is set to be the first international travel destination for South Australians, if Premier Steven Marshall gets his way.
The Premier will today write to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to congratulate her on her election victory, while also asking to allow South Aussies to join the trans-Tasman travel bubble.
The overture comes following confirmation on Tuesday that South Australia will no longer subject international arrivals from New Zealand to a mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
Premier Steven Marshall told Jodie & Soda this morning that the move would also allow New Zealanders to return home without having to quarantine on their side of the ditch.
Take a listen to the Premier’s full chat with Jodie & Soda about the travel bubble and how he’s going to request a NZ holiday…
