With South Australia opening its borders to some states and ignoring others, some feathers were always bound to be ruffled.

As of midnight last night, SA will now permit those travelling from WA, NT or Tasmania to enter the state without then quarantining for 14 days.

However, the border remains effectively closed to those from New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

The news of SA’s snub has led to an indifferent reaction from Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, who questioned why people would come to South Australia.

“Well look, I don’t want to be offensive to South Australians but why would you want to go there?” Premier Andrews asked today.

The Premier went on to highlight all of the tourist attractions of Victoria, which (from our highly parochial point-of-view) don’t seem nearly as exciting as anything in South Australia.

“Stay at home. Don’t get too stressed that they won’t let you into Adelaide, why would you want to go there?” Andrews continued.
