We’ve all been there, lying in bed at night being sent slowly crazy by that dog barking barking incessantly.
If you’ve complained to your council about that racket, you’re not alone, noise complaints across Adelaide’s suburbs are on the rise.
Across the Adelaide metro area, complaint numbers have risen 7 per cent to 2,744 total complaints for the year.
And it’s not just dogs that are driving residents to complain, with ducks, peacocks and frogs also causing a local nuisance.
But which suburbs seem to be the noisiest? The Advertiser has revealed which councils are copping the most noise complaints:
- PORT ADELAIDE ENFIELD – 412 Complaints
- CHARLES STURT – 388
- ONKAPARINGA COUNCIL – 335
- TEA TREE GULLY – 289
- SALISBURY – 201
- WEST TORRENS – 201
- MARION – 182
- PLAYFORD – 168
- UNLEY – 106
