CCTV cameras across Adelaide have been getting a workout capturing lucky escapes this week.
On Tuesday, security cameras at a Torrens Road business caught the terrifying moment that a freight train tore through an open level crossing following a signal malfunction.
Now, security cameras have captured the moment an out-of-control car ploughed into the front of a Hove supermarket.
The Toyota sedan was sitting in the Brighton Road Foodland’s car park on Tuesday night when it suddenly accelerated and drove into the shop’s front window and brick wall.
A pedestrian was lucky to escape the path of the approaching car.
A 77-year-old driver was taken to Flinders Medical Centre with minor injuries, while the pedestrian was not injured.
