Dog owners in Adelaide’s southern suburbs are worried about potentially fatal bait being left along a popular walking trail.

A piece of meat with hidden rat sack pellets was discovered this week on a trail in Shepherds Hill Recreation Park.

The discovery is the latest in a string of potential attempted dog baiting incidents.

Earlier this week, an eastern suburbs vet clinic issued a warning to pet owners after suspicious pieces of meat were found in Victoria Park.

Another discovery of potential dog baiting was made in Noarlunga South earlier this month.

The baiting has been reported to Mitcham Council and DEWNR.
