CCTV cameras have captured the terrifying moment that a train hurtled through an Adelaide rail crossing, narrowly missing passing cars.
10 News shared the footage of the boom gates at the Ovingham level crossing failing to close for an approaching freight train.
Vehicles continued to pass through the busy crossing as the train approach, with one vehicle narrowly escaping the train’s path.

Police controlled traffic for several hours on Monday as the state’s Transport Department confirmed that there had been a fault with the signals.
However, it is not yet known why the boom gates failed to close for the approaching train.
Police confirmed that there were no incidents as a result of the boom gates’ failure.
