For the pale skinned among us, you might want to spend this weekend holed up inside with the air con blasting!

This coming weekend, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology has shared some EXTREME weather forecasts.

Temperatures for Adelaide are expected to hover around the mid-to-low 30s over the next couple of days, before jumping up to around 40 degrees for the weekend.

A fire weather warning has been issued for various parts of the state, including the Mount Lofty Ranges due to the hot and, in some cases, windy conditions.

The warning has also been issued for the West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Lower South East districts.

Residents in the affected areas are being told to action their bushfire survival plans now, monitor the fire and weather situation through cfs.sa.gov.au and bom.gov.au and call 000 in an emergency.
