On Wednesday, it came to light that several Port Adelaide players’ family members were given exemptions to enter South Australia from Victoria.

Now, the state’s chief public health officer Dr Nicola Spurrier has responded to the exemptions by labelling them “inappropriate.”

Eleven family members were granted exemptions, five of whom have already travelled to SA and will complete their 14-day hotel quarantine.

Six, however, will not be permitted to enter South Australia.

Now questions are being asked about how the situation arose in the first place.
