The pandemic has already claimed more than its fair share of scalps when it comes to SA’s big events.
Now, it is looking less and less likely that this summer’s Tour Down Under will go ahead as planned as organisers begin to look at backup options.
The State Government previously declared that the 2021 event will go ahead in one way or another, although as the year progressed the idea of a cycling race featuring large numbers of international cyclists became a more impractical.
Events SA’s executive director now says that there is a cloud hanging over the event.
