Police are investigating reports of more debris found near the Murray Mouth this morning.

The search for the missing Tony Higgins and his boat kicked off again at first light this morning, with crews scouring the coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, the Murray Mouth and parts of the Coorong.

Authorities searched for the missing man until 11pm last night, using aircraft and infrared to hunt for the man.

Premier Steven Marshall told Jodie and Soda that the situation is “incredible.”

“I hope that he’s found safe and well, but it’s a very interesting one, this one,” the Premier told Jodie and Soda.
