The Port Adelaide fan who threw a drink at Richmond forward Tom Lynch following Friday night’s preliminary final has been handed a ban from the club.
The fan has had his membership revoked by the club for two-years, although he could still cop repercussions from the league.
Lynch had been attempting to give a post-match interview with Channel 7when the fan threw his drink at the player, he was immediately evicted by security guards.
Meanwhile, Adelaide Oval management also issued a ban, to the man, barring him from the venue for two years on top of the three-month ban issued by SAPOL.
The player acknowledged the thrown drink during his interview with Channel 7, telling Daisy Pearce: “I’m copping it here a little bit, can you please repeat that?”
“I just had a Bundy and Coke on me, but anyway.”
Amidst the fracas, one young Port Adelaide fan fought through the crowd to wish Lynch luck for next week’s Grand Final.
Young fan Archer fought through tears of disappointment to give Tom his well-wishes.
