SA has recorded its first death from the disease COVID-19.

SA Health have confirmed the death of a 75-year-old man, who contracted the virus from interstate.

In a statement this morning, SA Health confirmed that the man from Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs had died after fighting for his life in intensive care at the RAH.

“The man acquired COVID-19 interstate…Our condolences are with the family and friends of the man,” the statement read.

The news comes after SA recorded two consecutive days of only two new confirmed cases of the virus, there are currently 6 people in the RAH’s intensive care unit.
