We were so close, SO CLOSE to having borders open again!

Yet, SA Police have shut the borders to Western Australia last night. Anyone who has returned from WA are required to undergo 14-days quarantine.

For those who have visited WA from January 26 are also required to self-isolate.

Since 10:15pm last night, anyone who is not considered an essential traveller, local resident, relocating to SA or fleeing domestic violence are not be allowed into South Australia.

Our own Erin Phillips is now undergoing the mandatory 14-day quarantine as she returned from WA yesterday from her AFLW game on Saturday against West Coast Eagles. The AFLW season is now at risk due to the outbreak.

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has enforced the directions after a Perth hotel quarantine security guard tested positive for COVID-19 and visited numerous community places. Although he didn’t know he had the virus, he has potentially exposed the virus to a large number of people in Perth.

Perth have now gone into a 5-day lockdown to avoid a potentially outbreak.


Anyone in SA who visited the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Perth from January 21 needs to notify SA Health they are in the state immediately, quarantine, and get a COVID test on days 1, 5, and 12.
