When news broke yesterday that West End will be closing up its Thebarton brewery in the middle next year, it didn’t take long for people to start asking questions about the future of all those West End brewery traditions.
People wanted to know what would happen to the SANFL Premiers’ Chimney, the charity spring water fountain, the litany of sports sponsorships.
But most commonly, people wanted to know what would become of the brewery’s traditional Christmas lights display along the banks of the Torrens.
While this year’s Christmas lights may have been cancelled due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, many are wondering what will become of the lights once the land is sold.
