No South Australian Christmas is complete without a trip to the Magic Cave!
And while it might not be quite as big as it used to be in the old Johnny’s building, it is still just as wondrous as ever.
It will be a slightly different Magic Cave this year, with even Father Christmas not exempt from the grips of COVID-19.
Father Christmas will be practising physical distancing for his visits and in-cave photos.
But you can still expect to see all the other traditional Magic Cave stalwarts like the zany mirrors and carousel.
However, the iconic Nipper and Nimble will not be seen in the Magic Cave this year, for the first time since 1926.
They will, however, still feature in this weekend’s Christmas Pageant at Adelaide Oval.
The Magic Cave is open every day from Thursday 12 November through until Christmas Eve on the 2nd floor of David Jones, Rundle Mall.
