It’s that Monday morning of the year again.

The one when everyone realises too late that the Superloop Adelaide 500 traffic restrictions have started and it’s going to take them much longer to get to work than normal.

Payneham and Lower North East Rd are expected to be the hardest hit this morning, with some commuters likely to have an extra 30 minutes added to their journey.

The road closures through the eastern side of the city started on Saturday but traffic conditions are always at their worst on the first Monday as it catches everyone returning to work and school unaware.

The full list of roads closed can be found here at the Superloop Adelaide 500 website.

The closures will also impact commuters using bus services.

Closures will continue until Wednesday 6 March.
