About a quarter of fashion retailer, Colette’s, stores will close within the coming month after the chain entered voluntary administration at the end of January.

The accessories chain is set to close its Rundle Mall store, along with 32 other stores around the nation, although the future for its workers is still unclear.

The news comes in the wake of a stream of collapses in the retail space which has seen stores including Bardot, Jeanswest and South Australian department store icon, Harris Scarfe all announce store closures.

As many as 300 jobs are at risk, should the chain’s administrators prove unsuccessful in finding a buyer for the business.
