Brake failure is apparently to blame after a plane crashed into a terminal at Perth Airport.

Just before take-off on Tuesday afternoon, 62 fly-in, fly-out workers and four crew were on board the Cobham Aviation plane when it rolled and became wedged between a light tower and the terminal.

Passengers said there was a “massive jolt” as the aircraft hit the pole.

“I could hear some yelling from the cockpit,” one passenger told Seven News.

“I looked out the window and we were going forward and just getting closer and closer to the building and we weren’t stopping, and the yelling got louder and yeah… bang.”

No one was injured but an investigation is now underway.
