It was a strange Brownlow Medal event last night, with social distancing and travel restrictions meaning that the count was basically a glamourised version of a big Zoom meeting.
But despite the strange evening, the bookies’ favourite going into the evening still polled the most votes.
South Aussie Lachie Neale polled a massive 31 votes, despite a limited season of 17 games.
Jodie & Soda caught up with the Brownlow winner this morning, who were most interested in how the home-based Brownlow went down in the Neale house.
“I was lucky enough to have some family, a couple of my mates from back home and obviously a few teammates over to celebrate a little bit,” Lachie told Jodie & Soda.
“But yeah, I haven’t had the most sleep this morning but I’ll catch up over the next few days.”
