If you’re anything like us, whenever anything slightly important or memorable happens in your life, you probably want to keep a memento from the event.

Champion South Aussie basketballer Joe Ingles absolutely subscribes to that idea, and life events don’t come much bigger than winning an Olympic medal for your country.

Especially after years of trying.

So when the Aussie Boomers took home the long-awaited bronze medal from this year’s Tokyo Games, Ingles was not going to let his opportunity to secretly souvenir a little memento.

He told Erin and Soda that what he took was “a pretty cool memorabilia piece,” going on to explain that he “had to sneak it out of there because the Olympics are pretty strict.”
