Instead of fighting with the peeler and tough skin, place a halved butternut pumpkin in the oven to roast at about 180-200 degrees.

And after 20 minutes, take it out of the oven and removes the skin with your fingers!

The cooking softens the veggies and makes it easy to take that hard outer layer off!

Other viewers suggest putting the pumpkin in whole rather than cutting it which takes longer but is ‘less dangerous’.

Definitely trying this when I get home! After all, it is pumpkin soup season.
