Thanasi Kokkinakis gets another win in his home city with a stirring 6-4 6-7(4) 6-1 victory over Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic.

The South Aussie Tennis Star dazzled the city of Adelaide after a tough game. The sixth game of the final set extended 14 minutes as Kokkinakis eventually converted a sixth break point to send the Adelaide locals into cheers.

“I was a bit flat after the second set, but the crowd really gave me some legs. I found energy like I always do here,” Kokkinakis said after the match. “I was holding my serve well all night quite easily, but I couldn’t squeeze a break in the second. I got going and played with a lot of freedom in the third.”

Kokkinakis now moves on into the semi finals to play against Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut which will be the first time they face each other at 7:45pm tonight.

“He’s a hell of a player but I’ll just keep trying to do what I’m doing,” Kokkinakis added. “I’ll be aggressive and won’t die wondering.”
